The Denim Daddies (Edmonton, AB)

When a lifestyle creates a musical style, that’s pretty much the definition of authenticity. So when we say that The Denim Daddies are creating their own form of authentic country music, you might feel a little bit confused. For example, you may ask, how does guitarist/vocalist Andrew Brostrom keep writing songs that sound as if they stumbled out of a smoky barroom? Steady work on the craft, beer drinking, and breaking hearts, that’s how.

The Garrys (Saskatoon, SK)

The Garrys  are a band of siblings from the coldest part of the landlocked Canadian prairies.Formed in the spring of 2015, The Garrys use layered 3-part blood harmonies, hazy sun-bleached melodies, classic lo-fi guitar tones, and syncopated surf beats to create a unique“doom-wop” sound, dripping with dark nostalgia and touched by psychedelic dread. Their music is likely to leave you with an urge to do the Watusi, bittersweet thoughts about slow-dancing with your middle school crush, or a nagging feeling that it’s not quite safe to go back into the water.

JJ Lavallee (St. Ambroise, MB)

JJ Lavallee is a Métis Country Singer/Song Writer/Fiddler from St. Ambroise, Manitoba who now calls Saskatoon, SK home. His music blends the soulful melodies of country music with the spirited rhythms of traditional Métis sounds. Raised in a musically gifted family, JJ draws inspiration from his heritage, crafting songs that resonate with themes of resilience, love, and belonging. His performances are a vibrant celebration of culture, often featuring heartfelt storytelling and an undeniable connection to his audience.
